Who can join the Learn to Play?
Anyone can start learning to play ice hockey regardless of age,
sex or ability. If you are still holding onto the side you are
probably not ready for the Learn to Play but if you can do the
basics then just turn up and play.
Many people cannot go backwards or hockey stop when they start
but you will soon pick up these skills. If you are not sure
whether you are ready just come along and watch.
When, where and how much is it?
Learn to play runs Tuesday 5.00pm to 6.oopm at the Bristol Ice
rink (Frogmore street bottom of parkstreet).
Each session costs £4. There's no waiting list and no need to
book in advance. Just turn up, pay your £4 and play. If you
are not sure of anything just ask Sharon Chilcott (Beginners
manager) or Sharon Davies (Child protection officer) their are
always people on hand to help or aid anyone who looks lost .
What equipment do I need?
Ice Hockey can be an expensive sport if you buy all the equipment.
A typical ice hockey kit bought new starts from around £300.
